It may not be the most appealing to look at failure as we
start talking about personal growth and success. More often than not, we tend
to consider success as a perfect zone where only the most deserving can stay
and march ahead. Well, it is true that any success requires us to be on our
toes, but, at the same time, it also means that we can fail at something and
still move on. Here any failure can be seen as a step towards the upcoming
success.
What does personal growth mean?
How one understands by the term “personal growth” determines
the subsequent pleasure one derives from personal efforts. Personal growth is
knowing the importance of a personal journey. This journey brings its n number of
experiences for us. Just as in the cuisines, salty experiences are equally
important as it gives meaning to the sweet tests. Think about wilderness
adventurers. How every pain the endure brings forth a deeper sense of meaning.
When is personal growth possible?
You want to learn a new language? You have to move out of
your comfort zone and talk to as many people speaking that language as
possible.
You want to drive a car? You got to move away from the safer
open field and move onto a solid road and push out of your comfort zone
constantly.
The relation between comfort zone and failure!
The Comfort zone feeds on our failures. Failure can’t exist if
we move out of our comfort zone. The Comfort zone is addictive and those of us who
are in it, find it difficult to push through it. Since there is a strong
relationship between comfort zone and failure, this spiral has to be broken
down. The more time spent in the downhill spiral; the stronger the bond gets which
means it gets harder to break.
How do we break free from our comfort zone?
The Comfort zone can be broken with an arrow focused rush.
Scared of stage appearance? Don’t let the opportunity of
stage appearance go away.
Scared of water? Try to swim more.
The central idea here is to face your fears as much as
possible. The bond between failure and comfort zone weakens when we start
confronting our fear head-on.
It is natural to face hurdles and failures on our way to
pushing out of our comfort zone, but these failures are what leads to the best
personal growth.
